Serendipity can be quite wondrous. I experienced an instance of glorious happenstance more than half a century ago on a coach ride between Valencia airport and a holiday hotel. In the seats in front where Rose, Bob, Annette and Bob Junior who was a babe in arms. The babe in arms was being particularly fractious and needed much attention. The coach journey took several hours and self and wife were recruited as joint helpers to settle young Bob. This was the start of a friendship that lasted through our lives and was much treasured. Bob was a marvellous friend and Rose as you all know was an absolute gem!we will miss her greatly and count ourselves so very, very fortunate to have been on that coach journey in Spain.
